Mythical Branding

Taking a brand prompt to another real.
Context
Branding with a unique constraint.
"Hear me out..."

We had a single constraint that was cemented in the clients mind: G.O.A.T.

Influenced by the clients formative heroes Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James.

It was absolutely paramount that a goat was introduced into the branding in some way or fashion.

After an initial discovery call, I was able to tease out the heart of Allied Consulting's brand mission:

To help essential organizations within Rio Grande Valley of South Texas begin a healthy relationship with Data.

My time as in Behavioral Psychology allowed me to understand the significance of what data can provide organizations.

  • Understanding
  • Growth
  • Awareness
  • Direction

Storytelling

To utilize the goat effectively, I built a story around the mark that made sense to users.

The Rio Grande Valley is marked by it's brutal heat, sub-tropical desert climate and biodiversity.

"Showers bring flowers"

In Norse Mythology the god of thunder, Thor, is responsible for the disruptive thunder and storms that bring rain.

A primal understanding of this rain=growth story would speak to the viewer on a subconsious level.

The chariot goats were eternal creatures that served a very specific purpose and ushered in someone, something of prominence.

Service Focused

Most organizations want to be the center of attention. I provided the following perspective based on a service-first mindset:

Using data's strength, Allied is the goats that pull the chariot carrying you, the client, the hero in this story.

Visual Design

Highlighting the lightning was important, signaling the power of the brand.

The goat facing right was an important consideration as in our context, we read left to right, and right being the direction of progress and forward momentum.
