The Ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail, representing eternity, infinity, and the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth.
It is used in alchemy, mythology, and literature to symbolize regeneration and constant renewal.

I'm reading the symbolism here as "Self-Consumption" as a form of death to beget life.
But I'm not a huge fan of the symbol.
It's lacking, self-focused and not the story we should be telling ourselves or our children.
An interesting type of alchemy is being practiced and it has a lot to do with the archetype of the Devouring Mother. I won't get into political implications because I feel like thats way above my station. But I am a father, and that is exactly the station I can speak from.
I've seen destruction as a caregiving exercise, as opposed to Creation as a form of love.
When I look at my faith and consider how it teaches me the willingness to give life to something greater.
I am inspired to continue to choose activities that bring life.
And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
